I hope you have enjoyed
my website, dedicated to
my dogs and the joy of
having them in my life.  I
would love to hear from
you!  My website will be
updated often, so be sure

How do I squeeze 47 yrs of
"me" into  the following space..
....

Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who has shared the
trail with us, offered help, advice and
encouragement or just the joy
of their companionship!
But most of all, a huge thank you
goes to my hubby, Richard  who not only
loves the dogs as much as I do,
but always offers me endless support

I guess I have somewhat of a wild
spirit, never conforming, always
seeking a new challenge and new
adventures.
Past and Present?
I have always been entrepreneurial
from being a child.  I lived and worked
in Europe, I have been the recipient of
several  Business Awards, I've been
on television and in magazines for
various accomplishments, modelled
swim wear and ski wear
(in my younger days!) and  I've also
been involved in  the fashion industry,
sporting industry and now  the Real
Estate industry.
I'm quietly competitive
I Love my sports and hobbies. I
consider myself to be very athletic.  In
my past, I have enjoyed many  club
level ski races, I still ski as often as
possible, I also snowboard from time
to time.  Recently, I have enjoyed
cross country skiing.  For many years
I was a National level amateur body
builder with a number of top 3
finishes.  Voted best female
performer 7 times during my
competitive career.  It is a challenge
to be this competitive and run
freighting dogs! But there lies the
challenge which really motivates me.
My biggest competitor is myself.  We
compete with ourselves, trying hard
to always do better.  Some of my
dogs are naturally competitive,which
is wonderful for freighting dogs, so it
is great to give them a racing arena
so as to enjoy their natural talents.

RICK MACKEY's 1998
Yukon  Quest leader,
Cindy, was taking the
team through Forty
mile country in her
second Quest when
she approached a
closed-up cabin that
had been a
checkpoint a year
earlier.  There were
no markers or broken
trail.  And yet the
young dog
remembered the
place and tried to pull
in. That taught
Mackey this:

"Trust your leaders
and you'll stay out of
trouble.  They know
where they're going....
or at least where they
went last year!"
