| I love the power and the strength of these guys. The love and devotion they offer and their joyful spirit on and off the trail is what I enjoy the most. Beautiful to look at and beautiful to watch them travel down the trail..... |
I have 2 adopted dogs:- Diva and
Latisha. Diva has contributed so
much to my kennel as a leader and
Tisha just lives to be in harness. I
had a third adopted female who has
since passed away, her name was
Keeper. Before Keeper retired at
almost 12 yrs of age, she was my
main leader. When she retired, she
had 700 miles on her that season.
Diva went from wheel dog on her
previous team, to becoming one of
my best lead dogs, and has excelled
at obedience too. She ran single lead
in the 2005 Craftsbury True
Companion 15 mile race. She did an
outstanding job, great head-on
passes and as a bonus, as an ALL
Malamute team, we placed 8th!!.
Lastly, Latisha...... she has lead for
me several times, but is such a
valuable team dog, never tires,
always has a good spirit and always
works exceptionally hard. She is a
really good obedience dog and is
always wanting to learn something
new.
